As a PhD researcher, teaching is a great way to broaden your knowledge base and use your expertise in a different setting. If you are interested in teaching during your PhD, or you are already teaching and would like to hear the experience of a PhD candidate teaching during his PhD, come along to our Peer-led Learning session taking place as part of the DTA Career Development Month on Friday 14th, from 11 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
This session will be led by Jake Miler, DTA Future Societies researcher at Teesside University. Jake will also give you advice on how to get ready to give your first lecture as a PhD candidate.
This session will be particularly helpful to those who are interested in teaching while pursuing a PhD, as well as those who are new to teaching.
The DTA Peer-led Learning Scheme aims to provide PGRs with a platform to share their knowledge and experiences with their peers and support each other during their doctoral journey. These sessions are interactive allowing participants to ask questions and take part in the discussion freely. Every session is structured around a topic relevant to the PhD journey.
This workshop is open to DTA researchers only.
