Responding to the announcement today from BEIS that Horizon Europe applicants will receive a funding extension guarantee, University Alliance CEO Vanessa Wilson said:
“We warmly welcome the announcement extending the UK government funding guarantee for successful UK applicants to Horizon Europe until December 2022. Alliance institutions have been successful recipients of EU programme funding for many years, which has helped to create ground-breaking applied research and innovation. In order for the UK to continue benefitting from these collaborations, we hope association to Horizon Europe is formalised at the earliest opportunity. In the meantime, this safety net is extremely good news.”
