Four of our universities took home the top prizes at the Guardian University Awards earlier this month – including Inspiring Leader for Ian Dunn (pictured) Coventry University’s Deputy Vice Chancellor for student experience
Ian was praised for his focus on developing an exciting curriculum and links with local enterprise. The shortlisted candidates were nominated by the judging panel but the winner was chosen by popular vote. The award aims to recognise leaders who inspire the confidence and support of the HE community. Coventry University also took home the Business Partnerships award.
The University of Huddersfield won the Buildings that Inspire category – while Plymouth University was runner up. The Social and Community Impact award went to Nottingham Trent University on the night.
Teesside University and Kingston Universities were both runners up in the Student Experience category, while Cardiff Metropolitan University nabbed the runner up place for the Teaching Excellence award.
